me too. lovely day here. pain better. got a box for one week of difenac potassium. excellent. physio yesterday, last one. did lower back, better. cheers karen for the shout out. sweepin, moppin. be kind and happy. my new doc said i was bombarding him with questions, and said double appts. i was, so i took it on the chin and apologised. complex turtle. time for needles pills and lunch. later.

Happy New Year and Happy First Day of Autumn!

I took advantage of the fabulous weather here in NJ and planted the rest of my perennials yesterday.

I also took a chance and relocated the 2 'hardy lily' bulbs that were in bloom to the front of the border. Now, I can sit in the cozy Adirondak chair and see them without craning my neck. I have one bulb to my neighbor for her bed that is dedicated to all types of lilies. She is thrilled with the addition!

The japanese anemone that I planted is blooming its delicate pink daisy like flowers and it turns out that the snapdragons I bought on clearance are a similar color! So, the eye goes from the anemone to the snapdragons to the pink miniature rose quite nicely!

Most of the tiny mum plants that I put in last year came back strong this year, quite unexpectedly, and are beginning to bloom. Lovely copper colored blossoms to start and I think some burgundy and yellow will follow shortly.

I lit a few tea light candles in the chiminea last night, not wanting to do a 'whole fire'. The effect is pleasing enough, just after sundown with my hoodie on and a lap robe to keep my legs warm. A cat or two on my lap and I was just as toasty warm as if I'd had the 'whole fire'!

Hoping to pick up some of the materials for the window trim today. Humidity is down and there is a refreshing breeze coming through the open windows, so today might be the day to get this phase of the improvements started.

Did some final monthly grocery shopping earlier. Store gives 'points' toward gasoline. Will be filling the van tomorrow and get a 40 cent per gallon discount

At my store you get 1 point for every dollar you spend during the month....and reduces 10¢ per gallon for every 100 points you receive...(.maximum $1.50)

So, guess I spent $400 in September...more than I should have. Of course that also includes over the counter meds and cleaning supplies

Yes, my son has settled down and our relationship has improved quite a bit.
At some time I will consider the possibility of suggesting that he see his counselor for additional support.

Oh goodness... the poor dove is looking for a drink in the birdbath and I KNOW it's muddy. Must get out there with some fresh water...

Karen, I stopped feeding the birds this summer. The feeders were too far away for me to fill comfortably. Am considering a new (closer) location before winter arrives.

Warm and humid again today...but I'm not complaining...Better than snow

Not much to 'report'. I REALLY need to rake some leaves.
Has anyone installed a leaf barrier in their roof gutter? I've got a few 'trees' growing in one of mine that need to be chopped down.

Hello all. Rough couple of days for me. More relationship stress and some 'new' things adding to the dog pile.

Nephew has been drinking again, is considering coming back to NJ if I will allow it.

Daughter now diagnosed with Cubital Tunnel Syndrome but has to wait for Orthopedic Clinic appointment because she still doesn't have an answer on her health insurance.

And last but not least

My son is entering into a custody battle for his daughter, whos mothers boyfriend is a registered sex offender and lives with 2 other registered sex offenders, both of which assaulted children!

Hello all. I decided to go through the posts here and say a prayer for each of you.

I have one good thing to report......my house is clean. I got some Birthday money and paid someone to finally get the last of my stuff unpacked and put away. Being that I've been in major depression for several months, I've had to live with clutter and pet accidents. I also did 6 loads of laundry and cleaned the carpet (around the furniture). It's amazing how much less cluttered my brain is when my apartment is uncluttered. Now, everything has a place and everything in its place. My space is challenging but at least the "stuff" is out of my sight. I think the fur kids like appreciate it too.

I have a Mother with a personality disorder. When something comes up, it is impossible to share "my feelings" because her reality is distorted and within seconds, I am the bad guy. I need to learn to "shut down" my feelings around unsafe people because I end up getting attacked and feeling more depressed and also worried about them instead of myself. Goodness knows, they aren't worried about how I feel when they hang up the phone. Life can be really challenging and depression just plain sucks!
