Risperidone withdrawal almost got me

So. My depression and anxiety has been steadily improving since I started to take Lithium as an adjunct to my SSRI. Therefore my doctor and I decided that I get off of my dose of .5mg Risperidone. Problem is I had an awful withdrawal and had to go back on the .5mg. I also made a mistake and misread my prescription bottle and was taking 1mg a day for the 8 days leading up to my cold turkey stop. I made it through the first two days of 0mg but then my depression became unbearable. All I wanted to do was sleep and die. I'm slowly getting out of that rabbit hole but was wondering if anyone else has had trouble getting off this drug?
