Back in 2011, I decided to take part in group therapy, as I was struggling with depression and other mental health issues back then. It wasn't the first time I had been in group therapy.
The first day that I took part in the group, I worked hard to listen to the therapist's advice, to voice how I was thinking and feeling, and hear the problems that the other members in the group were facing at the time.
Afterwards when the group therapy wrapped things up for the day, one of the therapists told me, "Nice work, Mike."
I responded, "Thank you. I got a lot out of the group therapy today."
It was nice to hear one of the group therapists tell me that I did a nice job. It made me feel good, and it made me feel like I accomplished a lot that day (which I did).
