Getting Divorced

My husband of 13 yrs just up and left. He told me I should have seen it coming. He left 2 weeks ago and han't talked to me in 1 week.

If it weren't for my grown kids I would not be here.

I think often how easy it would be to let go. And maybe I could make it not so bad for my kids.

I am no longer afraid.

Hi bellas, I am so sorry for what you are going through. It sounds as if it was a huge shock to you and he did it in one of the most uncaring ways possible. I just want you to know that we are here for you if you what to talk or vent or whatever.

Hey Bellas, first off welcome to the forum :) We're glad to have you! I'm really sorry to hear what happened. It may be easy to let go, but it would NEVER in any way be easy for your kids. Remember that. Keep posting and venting..we're here.

Sorry to hear that things are so difficult right now. hang in there and try to find some light in each day. I find it always shines but I might have to look harder when the storms of life are all around me.

Sorry to here he left like that but I think you will better off in the long run. Staying in a bad marriage is not good for anyone. Getting a divorce was one of the better things that has happened to me. Good luck in the upcoming days.

Divorce is scary and your future looks bleak right now. But, after you have gotten over the inital shock and start thinking back I will almost bet that you will see how much better off you are.
In my mind if someone is just going to get up and leave his spouse then the spouse is much better off if the other person is miserable.
My ex and I divorced after 13 years of a very bad marriage,and to this day I am so thankful that it is over. I can't imagine being that miserable ever again.
