Thanks for the concern for Doodle, I am touched, not in the head, in the heart. LOL

She fine. I keep her up on her shots, so no worries. Dogs have antibodies that work 90% [?] of the time to small injuries to not get infected if they can reach to lick it. She also had a bite on a paw I did not see. SMH

I think she will have a permanent scare on her muzzle. Matches the Scar on her head, people think she has a calick LOL

Greenbeans!! Hello. I would be nice to hear what is going once with once and awhile.

I know posting here helps me feel less isolated. It is hard to begin with, and now with COVID-19 it can numbing.

However, we can let this take our peace from us. Sure will have awful days, the most grounded people will. Currently this problem is out of our control. We can only control how we protect ourselves and those we care about if they will listen.

Jamie, condolences on Van Halen. This is the sad thing about being human, mortality comes too soon. His music will live on as long as civilization does. I don't think anyone could expect more thank that.

John Lennon would have been 80 yesterday. I wonder if he would have made it. Hopefully enough people will learn from musicians and the bright lights that have passed. Although their lights shine on, if people look for it.

My partner told her Mom how much I miss my Mom's homemade chicken noodle soup...so she made me some!! So yummy!! So thoughtful!! Had 2 big bowls of it tonight for supper and there's still enough left for lunch tomorrow!

Went to Horseshoe Cove, so named because the Horseshoe crabs breed there, and found more sea glass to add to our collection. It's an annual thing we do, the two of us. It was more crowded this year though, and that kept us from staying very long, only about an hour. We came away with 35 pieces of sea glass and some other interesting gifts from the sea...shells, stones, driftwood. No sighting of the heron this time, though and too late for butterflies. We usually go in September but the weather didn't cooperate with our limited schedule with her back to work and all.

Adjusting to the dentures is going rather well. Just one area of irritation. I actually ate some cashews this weekend!! It's been such a long time since I've been able to enjoy them!

The leaves are starting to give their fall show here. Reds, golds, burnt orange...just in time for the Pineapple Sage to begin blooming! The bud tips begin in a flopped over position and straighten up as they bloom! Like a ballerina performing a front portebra (sp?) and rising to a releve`(sp?). ( I can hardly spell right in English, let alone French!) The air is beginning to have that fallen leaves aroma. Neighbors are using their fire pits outdoors and their wood burning stoves inside, so the air is also laced with woodsmoke, another sure sign of fall here. I'll be getting an electric fireplace, mostly for the visual but the heater aspect will help get the chill out of the house, too!

Covid hasn't changed my life much, except I was able to save a couple hundred dollars when the thrift shops were closed! lol I've already started putting suet out for the birds...I help keep them fed, they help keep my spirits up by seeing their life in my garden while the flowers sleep. I have painting to do inside and am hoping to install a faux tin tile ceiling in my bathroom this winter...keeping busy always helps. I've another afghan pattern to try out as well. I try to avoid the politicking...sadly it is not what it used to be...attacks rather than putting forth the good reasons to consider the candidate as the best choice. Most peoples minds have been made up for a long time already anyway. It saddens me the way families and friendships are being torn apart. On the topic of donations, I sent a check to our local Fire & First Aid squad, especially since they helped revive my daughter after her overdose before she moved out. I fear her behavior hasn't changed since...all I can really do is pray. I hope everyone is having a peaceful 24 hrs.

I haven't been sleeping well. I've taken melatonin, but it makes me groggy in the morning, and strangely enough I've wake up around 3pm.

Forever, take your melatonin about six at night if you go to bed about ten. It wont make you so groggy in the morning. That is what my husband's doctor told him to do.

GB, thanks for the tip. I fall asleep very fast once I take melatonin. I think I'm going to take it earlier today. I still don't understand though why I keep getting up around 3am when I take it.

Still been feeling a bit down although psych nurse put me on Lexapro in addition to Bupropion. I think my depression is partly situational though-being stuck at home, not socializing as much, etc. Been watching lighthearted tv shows, like the Munsters and the Addams Family; those were really some good shows that perks me up a bit.

That is so sad. I feel badly for Moki. I hope the steroids help. Like you say, he must be so confused. Good thing he has you to help him.

Kathy so sorry, I lost Alley last year to cancer, did not do anything but keep her comfortable.. for me that is the best I can do.

I pray Mokis' pending tests are negative and he levels out for treatment. Your new pup will most like start taking care of him. or her..

Forever, self compassion is the best medicine we can give ourselves. Why not indulge bit? I wouldn't buy a boutique out fit, but comfy cloths? Who can live with out them? LOL.

Buena, sorry to hear about Moki. At least he had a bit of happiness in the end, if it was the end. If it was, hopefully he didn't suffer much. This sort of reminds me of my old cat long ago, lost in much the same way, though in retrospect I believe he was going off to die and not be found as a final gesture (so as to avoid attracting predators).

And Kathy you were given the gift of remembering Moki dancing with happiness!
Most likely whining as you drive close to the house, some how knowing where he was.

You won't have to make the decision of, is the pain to much; should I let him go now;
