We did that, yrs ago collected stones from the creek to ensure good drainage

I've hit that point that I seem to hit every summer where I just lose interest in everything. I feel tired all the time but still don't sleep well. Too hot and humid, too many mosquitos, everything feels 'sticky'...and this year is a bit worse with the limited time Lisa and I get to spend together. I'm just 'going through the motions'. I know 'This too shall pass', but the going through it stinks.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. I feel this is the first time, since the pandemic, that we can enjoy summer activities though we should still remain cautious of course.

Pitmom, I definitely know how you feel and hope it passes soon for you.

I'm going through another depressive episode. I'm not working currently, so I'm worried about paying my bills, and sleeping non-stop though I still feel tired. To make matters worse, I've gained back all the weight Iost as I've been eating like a pig. Thank goodness I have a therapy session tomorrow; I need help getting back on track.

I am stuck at my fathers deathbed with no privacy, no respect, and a cot in the hallway. My "fun" today was a 15 minute errand to HomeDepot. lol

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, Green Beans. I adored my dad but he passed on 35 years ago. My mom got very sick and I stayed by her bedside too. At least I could talk with her and hold her hand and she knew I loved her. I considered this a privilege to be with her to comfort her. I sure wish I could do that now but the good thing is that I know my husband, my parents and I will be together again! What a day that will be!

Take care and I hope you get to spend a little more time with him. Your memories will help you through this.

I'm not good...but I'm not unsafe.

Fought with my partner...she 'doesn't feel like we're married' because she doesn't know my pin number on my bank account or where I put the cash I took out of the bank.

I told her that all she had to do was ask.

I also told her that what makes me feel like we're not married is...WE'RE NOT MARRIED!

I've got a raging headache. Feel like just a shell. Just done.

My ex husband did that alot.

you have a right to keep your pin private. Like Trina said though she may just have wanted to start a fight. Not cool. Keep whatever you need private. All we really have is ourselves.

I think it stemmed from her finding out her Mom was having serious money problems...overdue accounts...that now she is trying to help get straightened out. I'm just so tired of other people's problems bleeding out on to our relationship. She tends to overthink everything...leading her to question what 'secrets' I might be keeping, too! When my parents were alive, they had a joint checking account but it required both signatures so neither could mess with it. Then, they each had their own 'private' accounts for personal purchases. This worked very well for them...and only changed when my Dad had a stroke. By then, there was obviously total trust between them when it came to handling money.

We've been together as a couple for 17+ years now. Still don't live together. We each have/had family obligations/responsibilities that mean we cannot cohabitate yet. I don't even know what would happen with my SSD when and if we ever do 'take the vows' and have our own place.

We've talked about this latest speed bump, last night and again this morning. Neither of us wanting to fight...neither of us 'back to normal' yet.
