You say, "I want to make sure that whatever is going on with me seems to be like depression (especially the feeling high all the time part) and that I'm not alone and things will get better."
As a bipolar, I have been in the depressive portion of that. I've often been alone and was expected to make all the decisions and I wasn't able to do any of that.
If I had it to do over I would try to be positive that I could solve the problem.
You said, “I want to make sure that whatever is going on with me seems to be like depression...."
I typed in depression in the search engine, and NIMH.nih.gov says symptoms of depression can include:
1. You say, ”I feel like everything around me is fake and I'm in a false reality.”
1A. NIH says about depression, “Persistent sad, anxious, or `empty” mood.’”
2. You say, “I have had this weird head feeling for almost a year and it has caused me fatigue/daytime sleepiness, memory/concentration problems, anxiety, and recently racing thoughts, losing interest in things that bring me happiness, severe mood depression, and slower speaking/thinking ability"
•2A. NIH says about depression, “Decreased energy or fatigue” and “Difficulty sleeping, early-morning awakening, or oversleeping”
• “Loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities”
You say you have, “slower speaking/thinking ability.”
• NIH says a sign of depression can be, “Moving or talking more slowly”
You can look that up on the search engine also and see what you think.
You say, "...which tells me at this point it can only be something psychiatric.“ You seem to have the answer. Are you able to able to contact such help on your own?
