Increasing Lexapro Dose

Hi Victoria, I haven’t taken Lexapro but know of many people who have with great success.  Your physician increasing the dosage would indicate that he feels that your not stable on the 10mg dosage in other words your still having some depression symptoms.  As for side effects, I would look at the effects your having from being on the 10mg now...if your not having too many then it would stand to reason that you will tolerate the 10mg increase well.  But you are going to want to be sure to notify your physician if you do start to have extreme problems.  Please do keep us updated on how your doing and hopefully some other members will post and let you know how they have done on Lexapro.  I always try to keep in mind when starting a new medication, even though I too have great anxiety and worries of possible side effects, that it is important to keep positive thoughts of it working and worry about the rest when and if it comes.
