It's tiring, I can't enjoy today, cuz I'm to busy worring about tomorrow, next week, next month...ect. It's all I can seem to think about..."What do I do if this happens", "What will we do with the house", "how do we pay our bills if we don't have jobs"....it just goes on and on. There are things happening at my husbands work place, and something "could" happen, but all I feel is that it "WILL" happen. Even if it does, there no way of knowing, when, if, what, if anything will go on, but I can't let it go!
I'm just tired and want it to stop.

i go through this sometimes too. My husband was 11 years active duty Air Force and could be called up again at any time for the next 8 years and he knows some arabic. I would hope that this never happens but you can never tell with the military. When this hsppens I try reading a book I like or talk it over with my husband. Life has so many uncertainties, Maybe you could plan a movie date with your husband, just like when you first started dating except surpise him tell him you'll pay for the movie if he pays for the popcorn. I heard the Illusionist is very good.. just a suggestion

Hi,

Sorry I am late in responding to this post. It sounds like you may possibly have an anxiety/panic disorder. This is a highly treatable disorder. Is there any way you could look into cognitive/behaviorial therapy to help you change the way you think? There is also an excellent workbook for the "what ifs" called "10 Days to Self Esteem" by Dr. David Burns. There is also medication that can also help such as Ativan, Busphar, Klonopin and Xanax - that you can talk to your Doctor or Psychiatrist about. Are you seeing a therapist/counseler for this? There is also a clinic that you can look at on-line called "Midwest Center for Stress and Anxiety".

Hi Suzy - those are great suggestions for you and all of us!!! From someone who it really is all happening and all at once (read my post about not wanting to do this alone anymore) - today has enough to worry about. You have to tell yourself that for your own sake (your sanity and peace) you must not borrow trouble that hasn't happened yet. When it happens you will worry about it but please don't allow that train to go down the tracks. Visualize a STOP sign and say "no!" "this has not happened. I am thankful for my job, I am thankful for...all the things you are worrying about. Just a suggestion. Feel better.

Hi Hopeful, I've been trying to only focus on today and not worry about what tomorrow may hold, sometimes it works, most of the time it seems my thoughts go off on their own. I do keep trying to redirect and think more about the now.
Rianna, I'm being treated for depression but not anxiety. I'm going to the doc on Monday for tests and such and can tell her more then. Thanks for the advice, both of you.
Some days are so good and then the floor will fall out and I'm falling back down. The whole thing is just tiring.
