A couple of questions new here

Hi, i am 24 was diagnosed about 4 years ago with depression and just had a couple quick questions since this seems to be an active and knowledgable community.
The pdoc has perscribed me to start taking Lamictal to help with my slight mood swings. Hass anyone ever tried it at all and what kinda side effects happened to you? (i am scared out of my mind about this med after my ill experiance with Topamax)
Ummm.. this med will be in a cocktail with 30mg of Lexapro, phentermine for the wight i gaind on Lithium (75 pounds in 6 months 4 yrs a go) and the general birth control... what are the insights and has anyone had this kinda cocktail?
Tahnk you for your answears i would really appreciate it cause everything i read so far is about60/40 ont this drug and the more i read the more paranoid i become. I havent started taking the Lamictal yet cause i would love some reall honest answears. Thank you

Hi, welcome to healing well we are happy to have you join us here. Lamictal is normally prescibed for Bipolar disorder as is Lithium which is an antipsychotic medication. Topamax is prescribed for migraines and not normally given for psychiatric disorders. Though it can help with weight loss too and has been proven to have many other side benefits as well.
