I am in the EXACT same boat as you. I'm paddling hard on my side--you do your part...lol. Anyways, what I am doing is paying as little attention as possible to how much my current situation is a drag. I know that every day that passes, I will be an inch closer to the better opportunity. Look at the positives: You will have better health benefits and I imagine a more-positve work enivornment. I would say that you have a lot to look forward to.
My situation is that there is a nurse who I saw abuse a patient. He spanked her twice, dragged her to her room, threw her on her bed and closed the door behind her. When she was trying to get out, he held the door shut. I decided to go through the proper steps for this to be reported. The big boss man questioned the nurse and he denied everything. The company loves to cover up stuff like this. Yes, they do get sued alot...lol. I have to deal with the nurse in about eight hours who knows that I am the one who told on him. However I won't have to deal with him for much longer. He is a jerk, he is combative, abusive and all-around hard to deal with, but I won't have to deal with him for much longer and the place where I am going to doesn't tollerate this type of behavior and investigates all allegations of abuse made. From what I understand, they aren't stuipd enough to have a nurse like that there. It is no secret that the guy is abusive--it's just so much easier to avoid extra work and potentially deal with the law.
Picture yourself in a few weeks in an excited state about the fact that you have new ventures coming your way.
Best of luck,
JW
