is high 60's to lower70's a low blood sugar level

i have been on prednisone for about a month now and my sugar level has been very low i wake up with the shakes and have it throughout the day when i take my blood level it is in the high 60's to lower 70's. i am usually  in the high 90's the pharmacy told me that this med makes your levels higher. I am going nuts eating all day just to keep the shakes away  can anyone help

Hi Susie:) I am on pred. What other meds are you on? It doesn't make me go high anymore with care but I am going low like you at night and at fasting check. I think it is my diabetic meds and am reducing them slowly at night. If this keeps up, call your doctor soon. Testing machines can be off on the numbers and you may be lower than you think. Too easy to get into trouble with low blood sugars. The pred can cause the shaking especially if you are new too it or on high doses. The first time I was on it, I shook day and night. It was just miserable. Remember, when in doubt, check with a medical professional. Take care.
