Not a pressing topic but was wondering if anyone has experiance hair loss or thinning from type 2 I use byetta daily for a couple of years and noticed this.

My hair is thinning, and I'm balding in spots. I am Type II diabetic.

None of the doctors I've seen have ever linked diabetes and thinning/balding.

And I don't take Byetta, so that is out.

Where did you get the idea the two are related? For sure diabetes takes a toll, but I've not heard of this link before.

I dont knoe if medication related or type 2 related I was just checking to see if this is a common problem or not.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 yesterday...Before the Dr. did anything he asked me if my hair was falling out...I said Yes, how did you know?  Then an hour later I was a Diabetic....

I don't know much, but I do know that it is strange that he asked me that..
