I'm also type 1, since 1988. How come you inject 10-20 times a day. I "only" inject 6 times a day, maybe 1-2 extra on top of that if I need to re-balance. My doctor says I'm injecting about twice the average amount of insulin.. I did start with 2 shots a day, but that was when I had to mix two types of insulin from bottles into a small syringe and inject the mix. Yes, by todays standards, that's crazy, as we all have pre-mixed pens or something. And taking a blood glucose reading took 2 minutes.
I don't exercise the same way every day, but I do change the amount I inject all the time. I simply cannot behave the same way day after day. Finding out that every day has become the same is like one of my fears.
