I'm 1.80m tall but weight only 54kg, I'm very skinny, althuogh I eat usually until my stomach hurts lol
Yesterday I work for about
3 hours helping a group of friends lifting and moving several iron structures. I work until exaustion, until I couldn't walk straight anymore.
I felt severe tingling in my hands and feet. I had trouble articulating words and a friend had to carry me because I was bending over to the right even thought I was trying to walk forward in a straight line.
Here's what I don't understand: about
30 minutes before this I had eaten a chocolate energy bar, and when I began to feel weird I ate a medium sized banana, I was also drinking plenty of water.
So I though it was a drop in blood pressure and I lay down with my legs elevated, but it didn't got any better.
about
15min after the severe symptoms had begun I ate another chocolate energy bar, and maybe 10 minutes aftewards 3 small cakes. But I only really start feeling better after eating white sugar.
Today I woke up drowzy than it go worst, I felt mental fatigue and dizzyness, so I went to the local pharmacy for a glucose test: 102. This test was done about
4 hours after breakfast.
So, is this compatible with diabetes? Should I be worried?
I usually have these symptoms when I don't eat for a long time. Yesterday was the first time I had them without a long time without eating.
A blood test I did in june 2011, while fasting and feeling dizzy and desorientation, (which disappeared after eating) had the following results:
80 mg/dL
4.44 mmol/L
Tyroid hormones were within normal range.
So, to sum it up: I'm used to feeling like this when I don't eat for a long time, but yesterday was the first time I felt symptoms this severe AND even though I had been eating energy bars and a banana. And today I still feel awkard but apparently the sugar value is normal (102)
Any ideas?
Thanks
EDIT: I forgot to add that I measure my blood pressure today and it was 11.something/7.8
