No statins yet, but my doctor is considering it because of high cholesterol. I do take strong blood pressure drugs. I don't have muscle pain as such, but I don't know what the back pain exactly is. I have some place on my skin that may have lost about 10 percent of sensitivity to touch - slightly above the knee. Occasionally I feel a certain weakness in my thighs while cycling. It's like the power I used to have is not there, but on another day it comes back. I can still keep up with a typical "sunday cyclist" on my so called weak day.. with some risk of extra lactic acids though.
My first doctor told me years ago that bananas are high in carbohydrates and gave me a tip to only eat half a banana at tops if I must.
Good sources of potassium include bananas, citrus juices, avocados, tomatoes, potatoes, salmon, cod, chicken, and other meats. From that list I would pick tomatoes, but I react to tomatoes, makes my tongue feel tingly. My dietary advice says not to eat much red meat, max 70g per meal. I think chicken would be ok though. Salmon, chicken and avocados then, hmm...
