Soul, how is it going now? I hope you've gotten used to it. Everyone has given you great advice and you'll find it easier to do, I promise.
As TVEditor wrote, maybe some "detachment thinking" will help. I didn't have a problem using the lancet for testing my blood sugar but a couple of other situations did have me filled with anxiety. One was when I was going overseas for a couple of years and I had to have a series of vaccinations over a week or so. I found that when I volunteered to be the first in line, it was 100% easier than waiting for others to get shots before me. The other situation was swallowing one of the supplements I bought. The pill is so large that I got myself wound up and couldn't swallow it because I was worried and thinking about
it too much. Finally, I just told myself to swallow it. No thinking involved, no leading up to it, just put it in my mouth and down it with water. Now I don't have a problem.
