Per Tom Hanks
"My doctor said, 'Look, if you can weigh as much as you weighed in high school, you'll essentially be completely healthy. You will not have Type 2 diabetes,"
While such control is not possible for many, the rise in incidence would certainly be curtailed if the lifestyle message was taken as well as the medicine route.
Whether for simple blood pressure or diabetes, I can tell from my own neighborhood that very few include both diet and exercise as part of their solution after diagnosis.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if Tom Hanks would allow himself to be a role model for those who don't resort to medicine before attempting the full measure of lifestyle changes?
