Howdy! I just joined this site the other day. I have had diabetes since I was 17 (now 22). I also have IBS (newly diagnosed). Anyways, I take Metformin ER 500mg and Prandin 2mg. This is my problem, I have a super hard time taking the meds. I can swallow 'em just fine. It's the "getting myself to do it" part. I want to live a normal life, but can't accept I have diabetes. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.
I also have an issue with checking my BS. I have the tools, but too lazy to use them. I feel like I need to live unrestricted, and worry about my problems later.
Any ideas and suggestions would awesome! Thanks!
The cause of "laziness attitute" is another symptom of high BS, if your BS is under control you will be brisk and normal.
Just medication alone can not keep your sugar under control, you have to change your lifestyle to achive it. I was taking 2000mg metformin, now I take only 500 mg. Check your BS every day morning for one week , and post the results, we will motivate you to achive your goal. Cheer up.
