Yes, maybe. Physical pain can increase blood sugar. I don't know how to get around that because I'm sure you're doing all you can for the pain.
As far as morning fasting results, I think I mentioned in another post that I have found that if I eat something very small, a small snack (not carbs) around 9 or 9:30 at night that my morning fasting has come down.
