Hi to all,

I am a type 2 diabetic my blood glucose was 11.4 on being admitted for neuromodulation where ive had wires inserted into my back and a lead coming out of my back to be fastened to a belt i am wearing using a wireless monitor like a pho ne to control bladder n bowel symptoms for. Overactive bladder after i had this done my bs went up to 15 .6 and was told by the sister i might be kept in but after taking gliclazide was allowed home just hope since the above it wont increase my bs my last A1c was 10.5.

So i will have to see the impact this has on my diabetes but feel so much better since having this procedure done at least i might get some sleep tonight instead of in loo all night yeah.

Hello Dolphin500! Welcome to HealingWell. I am so sorry you've had to undergo this procedure but I hope you are more comfortable than before.

I also hope your blood sugar comes down to more normal levels. Pain, stress and illness can all cause blood sugar to rise so I'm hoping that part of your high blood sugar might have been caused your health condition before and during the procedure.

How are you feeling now?

Welcome to the forum Dolphine500, glad you are feeling a bit better after the procedure, your sugar will rise as Lanie said, because of the stress your body is under, they couldn't get my blood sugar below 20 in the hospital when I had my initial Heart Attack but once I left the hospital it came down to normal, don't stress yourself over it you will only make it worst it is only a blip on the screen

Hi to all;

Iam feeling a lot better now since my op but my blòod sugar is still high in 20s before gliclzide
It then goes down to 12.6 not below i was wondering if i could be type one as its never below the
above other people manage to get below 10.

Its not like i have an infection as i am taking anti inflammatories so i dont get an infection as of above.

I was getting up 7 times at night every night to urinate that was my reason for asking the above question.

I am going bk in hosp on 30th of June for Second Part of my OP battery Placement like a pace maker only to control your bladder.

I will let you know what happens

Hi Dolphin. Yes, your blood sugar is too high. Your doctor can order some lab tests to see if you are a type 1 or not (if you are still producing insulin). Whatever needs to be done should be done in order to get your blood sugar down! I hope you continue to feel better.
