Woke up with an 87 and sweet smelling urine. Finished off two boxes of cereal cause they didn't have too much in them. I ate probably around 60 carbs as I'm supposed to (or less actually), measured my blood sugar an hour or so later and I'm at 226...
I'm wondering why my levels would be so high compared to last night even though I had more carbs last night when I ate dinner... wondering if it's my system or one of my meds...
One is an antibiotic, it appears a lot of people think it can spike blood sugar levels... they go to the doc, get on it, then they shoot up or down and can't get it to move... I"ll have to test it tonight with dinner... I"ll get some bananas, eat two and measure like a hawk to see how it moves, then eat again with one of my meds and see what happens.
found one governmental source in the uk that says
"
Having tests
If you are having blood tests or urine tests to
check your sugar levels, tell the doctor that you
are taking Amoxicillin as it may interfere with the
results.
"
So maybe either it's actually affecting my blood sugar levels or affecting my meter.
I'll test it tonight... I"ll eat no carbs and take the antibiotic without my other medication and see if I spike... Last night I forgot to take it and had to take it before I went to bed, so it wouldn't have had a chance to mess with my measurements.
