Everyone has advice

Now that I have been diagnosed, everyone has advice. Two people I know have told me about their experiences with blood glucose testing. One passed the information through family members, so I couldn't answer him, the other told me that all I have to do is exercise and the numbers will go down again. With further questions, both of these people have never been diagnosed and took it upon themselves to test daily. I suspect with little research.

I still have little knowledge, but I am looking for a local class to join. The nearest one I can find is in Nov, all day on a Saturday. I am pretty sure I will be working 7 days a week for most of November. At least I won't be able to preplan anything. I was hoping for a class this month, or now I have to wait till Nov.
I'll have to go talk to that pharmacist again. He has the training to answer any questions I have.

Hi rainbowpromise, I know you live in Canada but don't know where, but if you live near any major city that has a hospital (unless that is where you checked) should have a Diabetic clinic or a Cardiac unit they should be having classes.

I understand your frustration with everybody knowing what's better for you even if they are not suffering with the illness too, my father in-law and some coworkers where that way, especially in the early years

We are in the country too and like you we avoid the city

I would phone the place and asked them if they got the forms
