Watched part 2 of the season opener of Castle, while in a flashback they showed one of the main characters of the story having problems with his sugar because he did not have breakfast so he grabs a open can of coca cola (not knowing how log it has been open or who drank from it or what's in it) then says he needs his insulin, really now a days you think they would do more research into the shows.......just a mini rant smilewinkgrin

I didn't see this but I'm surprised that they didn't have anyone to set them straight. I would think shows nowadays had 'health' consultants. You know what? You should write to them and inform them of all their errors on that show and offer to be a consultant. I'm serious. It doesn't hurt to write a letter. (Well, I guess that says how old I am. I mean shoot them an email.)

I am doing fine went for an ultrasound on my legs yesterday just waiting for the results, it is getting colder up here but no snow yet, had our first frost last night

Just curious watched part 2 of Season 8 opener on Monday and you have a character on the first two episodes who is suppose to have Diabetes, in one flashback scene he is suffering from low sugar so he grabs a open can of soft drink that was just sitting there (won't get into what is wrong with that picture) but in his next breath he says he needs his Insulin, being a Diabetic for 44 years now if you need something for low sugar you don't need a insulin shot at the same time, just curious why more research wasn't done in preparation of this episode, I thought you had somebody on set advising about this don't get me wrong we still like the show (y)

Yes, that would be a medical disaster a coke and insulin together might be sugar overload...the mistakes I've seen...they really should watch these errors.

And I hate the Liberty car insurance commericals, those women talking shouldn't be on the road in real life, talking about how they tap a bender, a tap can cause damage people even a small one, just don't make light of it..

Anyways I hope you set them straight on the error of never taking sugar and insulin...

As a retired nurse, I see so many stupid mistakes in TV shows. Some are so ridiculous I just sit and make fun of them. Some of my favorite idiocies are: ER doctors and surgeons with no eye protection, or with masks pushed down below their noses, characters gloving for everything, whether needed or not, incorrectly pronounced terms.

Too bad everyone can't be as smart as we are, eh?
