Where do poke yourself for testing?

They are, but you can't always trust the reading alone. The device asked me to get a calibration reading once or twice a day, but still it was off since it's not actually measuring from blood but from tissue. Under 2.2 mmol/l I should have been lights out even though I am known to be up and about even with readings lower than that...

That could be, but I tend to wake up on my own if my bgl ever hit too low and lately it's been difficult for me to even fall asleep while blood glucose was still low. I used to be able to force myself to sleep regardless and that's when I got into trouble.

Hi Jimbo, it's interesting that we can use so many different areas of the fingers. I haven't tried the top side of the pinkie but in my mind, I would think it would hurt compared to where I test, which is either the sides or the pads of eight fingers. I have never tried the thumbs.
