Thank you for your replies. I have seen my doctor and had several tests. Nothing really special showed up. The primary reason why I am underweight, at least in my opinion, is simple. I am under stress, have depression, and simply do not eat that much food. Most days I do not even eat 1000 calories. The reason for that is, as previously said, I do not know what to eat. And, in some ways, I am poor. I did go to a food pantry once, and appreciated what they were able to provide, but, it was pretty much processed food. Unless I have some deadly disease I am not aware of, which, is possible for any of us, the solution seems fairly obvious, construct a meal plan that gives me at least 2000 calories a day, and then, start weight training. And work to eliminate the stress and depression. Stressed because I am struggling in all areas of life. Depressed because I am trapped in these circumstances. And burnt out too.
Many recommend Ensure, etc., but, those products are full of sugar. My A1C is already not good. I would prefer, however, to drink my calories though.
Just recently turned 50, and just worn out and need some bold positive life changes.
