Okay my 5 year pump anniversary is Feb 27 now my research begins thinking about going with a CGM but will have to wait and see what my insurance is willing to pay and the Government willing to pay for it I am liking my Animas Ping pump now but there seems a whole bunch of newer models coming out this spring in Canada any suggestions people smile smile

I have no suggestions! Sorry. You certainly more about this than I do, so I wish you good luck. I'm wondering if you're the only member here on a pump.....

Hope I am not Lanie, they are such a life saving device all Type ones should have one

We have no snow in front but at back we have some been to mild here suppose to get a storm tonight

Looks like it is between Animas Vibe Plus and Meditronics 630G leaning toward Animas has it can be integrated with Dexcom 5 which got the approval from Health Canada to be used to as a tool for figuring out insulin dosage no more finger pricks but our Provincial government is way behind with Diabetes technology which is who I get my funding from confused

go with what works best for you. u know yourself better than anyone else. ping sounds positive. some countries are slow, australia included, funny since we have become the fattest nation per captia. funding globally into diabetes research needs a big jelly been of philanthropic support and people to be better educated on food, diet, and the biggie, complications.

Seems somebody at Animas was not happy with me when I said I am waiting for the new technology smilewinkgrin I guess they wanted to make a quick sale, talked to my Diabetic nurse today and informed her of my decision she had no problem it, since she needs 3 A1C in a 12 month period to apply for funding we decided not to do one in April since I see my doctor in May by the way my A1C was 6.2 which is great for me yeah
