has anyone used Metformin for polycystic ovaries?

did it help? side effects, etc

i have recently read about metformin being used for this. my daughter has psos and have been researching it. i take metformin for my diabetes but i do not have psos. couldnd't hurt!

I took metformin for PCOS before it advanced to diabetes. I lost a little bit of weight and had diarrhea after I took it,which was because (from what my new doctor told me), my dosage was too high.
