Oh for heaven sake! I hope you can get some relief to get through Christmas! Heating pad? Cold packs? One of those snug body wraps to stabilize movements? I would also be careful about letting a chiro do any manipulations of your spine, back, neck area. Whatever the x-rays show, please seek another opinion as to how to take care of what's going on.
I understand what it's like to get a wrench thrown into the works. Along the years I've also had that happen and the best I can say is to not be sidetracked, to keep on the course of your normalized blood sugar because you don't want to add more misery to your health woes. I think you already know this. I can attest to what uncontrolled blood sugar will do to a body as it's now severely affected both my brother and sister. You're young and have a family so you want to be as healthy as you can be.
Pain, stress, distress can cause blood sugar to rise so make sure you continue to eat right, take your meds and keep on track. Sometimes some people just feel 'oh what the heck' and give in to going so far off with their eating that it sends their blood sugar sky high but [as you already know!] this will worsen your health. And if you're dealing with possible neuropathy, you absolutely must make sure your blood sugar is as close to normal as it can be - and, again, I mean really 'normal' normal, not what you see on charts from the doctor's office.
I'm sorry for this setback. Take care of yourself and you can come here and rant all you want!
Despite all this, I hope you and the family can have a good Christmas!
