Sometimes a big part of it is the head game, where your mind isn't satisfied until you stop at fast food. For that reason, I suggest trying the same thing every day for a week before you decide it doesn't work.
That is, try the kind bars for a week, then something else... not sure what is on your food plan, but I get satisfaction from Pure Protein bars -- several flavors, ~200g protein, ~17g carbs.
