............................. How are you doing with your levels, Astro?
The low end of my glucose range is going up in the upper prediabetic levels now; Probably (hopefully?) because-
1)as the body gets used to a low carb diet this apparently/unfortunately can happen in some people (from what Ive read).
and
2)My thyroid was hypo/low for the last month
My glucose reading is still high in daylight AM (120), then usually lowest a few hrs after lunch.(100). It never goes over 135 when eating on a low carb diet. So I have a very narrow range on the low carb diet.
Note: Any single high carb food item over 15g can elevate to 150 blood glucose now though. I tested this at home (and freaked out). I guess this can happen on low carb diets when your body forgets how to process sudden carb or sugar intake increases.
So I did the HOMA-IR calculation after a recent lab test of fasting glucose and insulin. I was surprisingly better than average (not insulin resistant). I also did some antibody test for diabetes 1 and 1.5,; I did not have it. This is obviously good news, yet odd that I have prediabetes range fasting glucose.
