Yes..that confirms one of my "stream of thought" conclusions, and certainly we've all heard this idea and wondered....and in the tradition of some of the replys that I read(even on this thread).....I would oddly respond..."but I don't have a daughter with a dog.!.(?)....
" ....actually I have tried that (and many! other things, probably too fast and missed or misinterpreted the result), but forgot journaled the results, and they were not obvious enough to see the pattern(redundant).
(also...you know I'd bet you dogs played(exersized) more and competed for territory or position..you know alpha dog?just thinkin too hard..)
At the first of this thread somebody said they read a scale like a glucometer, ....amazing !!...so do I ...and all day and journal every input and output(by wt!) ...don't laugh too hard when you figure out what i mean. This is the opposite of everything diet and OA folks tell you,but I correlate 1 day average(you see body water change immediately after a week of this!) wt gain with BG ...perfect !
(morning bgs fasting and sleeping no meds!! only!!)
90-100 Bg=no gain 70-80bg=wt loss and 100+=wt gain
(I know! the glucometer isn't that accurate!! I aggree...this is sort of an average of four readings before I eat in the first hour I'm awake...feeding the dogs(2)..not me..but hydrating...drinking WATER(only.. remember?))
this works for me...but guess i can't control the compulusive enough and at this stage I really need control-possibly a level I've never experienced or considered(?)...and "jumping off the wagon"....self-.honesty... probably our most common issue..right?!
Still desperately looking for other approaches, tools(therapy/ hypnosis?/biofeedback?/diet buddy?/ sponsor?/...) ...for a lot of us this is not only a quality of life issue, or staying off meds, and a serious morbid obesity issue(mine).........."still breating"(movie title quote I think) - another minute, day week, another gift...
