This may sound really odd, BUT . . . I was convinced I was HIV+ (am waiting for test results), but everyone in that forum swears up and down that my symptoms just don't sound like it. When I check my symptoms against those on the Web, some point to diabetes and some point to HIV, so hopefully someone who knows will give me an opinion.
At age 28, my sugar tested at 126. This was fasting, plus I had to drink all that nasty stuff. The doctor, who I'm not sure knew what she was talking about, told me that if I didn't get a grip on my sugar eating, I would be a full-fledged diabetic in a few years. I drank no more sodas, started eating much better, and gave up most sweets. I've always been very active. Well, it's 12 years later and for several years I have been having blurred vision in my right eye off and on, and now, for the last month, I've had constant leg and arm numbness/tingling which is actually relieved by moving/walking. The eye problem is becoming worse. I've never been overweight and my grandmother was the only one ever diagnosed (Type 2). I had a quick, finger prick test after 8 hours of fasting and it was 82, which I understand is a good score. Could that test be wrong?
