Hello all,
I have not written in quite awhile, but I have been searching for answers and am currently dealing with five doctors to get to the bottom of my increasing pain. With all that I have read about neuropathy it all leads to controlling blood sugars. I have made it a mission to get mine under controll. I even droped my AC1 from 6.1 to 6.0 which my doctors are thrilled about. However, my neouropathy is getting worse by the day. I am on Arthrotec 50, neurotin, lyrica, and take oxycodone and oxycotine. My pain is worse in the AM and it is taking me 2 to 4 hours to be able to walk after wakeing. I set my alarm for 2 hours before I have to get up to take my pain pills just so I can hobble to the bathroom. I used to start work at 7 and now can't get there til 9 or 10 some days. my hands are like curled balls of unuseable pain and my feet feel like they are steping on nails. I have been on these meds for 8 months now and I think they just don't work any more. I am 39 years old and feel like I am 90! I need some help, my doctors are doing more EMGs on my legs this week to see if perifial neuropathy is the right diagnose. Any ideas would help. I do the warm sock thing and maginets and all the little tricks you have shared with me. I guess I want to know if any one else is struggling the way I am.
Joe
