Lanie, I started eating a half a Haas avocado a day and it brought my cholesterol down even more! My last check my LDL was 77, my HDL was 41, and my triglycerides were 122! My doctor was amazed and sooo happy. The only thing I did differently was add the avocado to my diet. I like putting it in salads or stuffing it with cottage cheese.

Hi Sherrine,
I was just wondering, at which meal do you eat your avocado, and how many times do you eat it? Aren't avocados high in fats and can easily increase weight?
Considering your lowered numbers (CONGRATS BTW), would other types of avocados besides the Haas contribute to similar results you've obtained.
I actually tried avocado shakes before, very rich in taste, but I wasn't diabetic back 10 years ago. Any tips to make an avocado shake without any extra sugars or unhealthy stuff in it?
I've been a diabetic since 2001, but have struggled to eat properly, I just don't know what to eat to bring my BG, bad cholesterol, triglycerides, blood pressure down. I don't mean to trouble you, but can you tell me what other foods, vitamins, minerals, that help bring down these numbers? Maybe these suggestions can start as a new topic?
Btw, I often see "Missing Key Value : en-US, 243" or similar items on this website. What are these?
Thanks a mil
