and I know she'll be here soon. Around here now, maybe since you were here last, most of us have been low-carbing to control the blood sugar. This is what keeps my own blood sugar near normal and others who are on meds find that they can sometimes reduce the meds they take (of course with their doctor's approval). If you haven't read anything from Dr. Bernstein, you might want to look into his two books
Diabetes Solution and his diet book with recipes. Good luck with your nephrologist visit. Until then, the best you can do is keep your blood sugar tightly controlled and drink water, lots of it, I guess.
