What kind of exercise and diet are you following. That is important information if you are on Byetta. After 2 1/2 months on the 5 mcg pen my numbers are great. I had a fasting blood sugar of 100 this morning. I also take 1000 mg of metformin XR twice daily. I have reduced my carb intake to about 120 carbs a day and I follow a walking program (3000 steps in 30 minutes daily).
I started the walking program last week and in the week since I have lost six pounds and my bloog sugar average went from the mid 140s to the mid 111s. That is a pretty good result from exercise. We all react differently, but modification of diet, full medical compliance and exercise are the key factors to keeping you sugars under control. For the record I was in denial for almost 6 years before I got to this point.
