Hi,
I was wondering since you all are really familiar with diabetes if you could answer some of my questions.
Last summer--long story short I had an incident where I almost passed out and couldn't stop shaking, it was right after I worked out and the doctors told me to eat some cheese and drink juice right away. I was going to have blood tests done but it didn't happen again so I let it go.
Last January I got sick with a flu/virus or whatever you want to call it. But it's been quite awhile and I should probably be over it by now.
I know your not doctors but I was wondering if any of you ever experienced these same symptoms?
I'm 18 and I'm usually pretty energetic.
-I'm exhausted and I feel really worn out.
-I feel sick to my stomach most of the time, sometimes it causes me to vomit--especially late at night.
-At times I feel shaky-especially late at night.
-I can't sleep right because of those symptoms^
-At times I feel light-headed.
-I have been getting canker sores lately. And my gums were swollen a couple of weeks ago.
-I really don't notice if I go to the bathroom frequently-I have 5 classes during the day from 8-2:30 and generally I probably go to the bathroom about 4-5 times. I don't know if that's normal but it annoys my friends.
--Another interesting thing I came across was the link between diabetes and glaucoma-I was told I more than likely do have glaucoma by 4 different eye doctors and I have no family history of it.
-I've been wearing my glasses more lately. I am nearsighted and am not required to but I feel like I have a harder time without them lately.
I plan on getting some bloodwork done and I was wondering if I have to have my mom request something specific, or if diabetes could be ruled out from a blood-test?
Thanks so much I truly appreciate it.
