Diabetic And Fentanyl Patch

Welcome, Ron.  I don't use the fentanyl patch so I Googled for its side effects.  I didn't find any reference to blood sugar effects.  Be sure to ask your doctor who prescribed it as well as the pharmacist for more information.  Don't forget that pain can raise our blood sugar.  And of course several other meds can raise blood sugar too, so you need to look into those, too.  Best of luck.

Ron, so the fentanyl itself may not cause a rise in blood sugar but as I said, sometimes when the body goes through pain and trauma for whatever reasons, the blood sugar can rise because of the stress on the body.  Pain is stress.  But again, be sure to talk this over with your doctor.
