I made reference of this in another post, but I am basically being made to choose between using the Freestyle meter or buying my own meter and/or test strips thanks to the idiots in my state's government who decided what is and is not approved for those on Medicaid.
I went through this last year too and got saddled with a Freestyle meter and I could not get used to using it. I would waste 2-4 test strips every time I tried to test. I have moderate nerve damage in my left arm which reduces my fine motor control in that hand. I am very much left handed of course, and trying to jockey that meter around to get to the little testing prongs on the side of the strip is next to impossible, plus it seemed like they never wanted to accept the blood sample half the time anyway.
So if you use a Freestyle meter with ease what is the secret to it.
