Ive been Type 1 for 38 of my 42 years on this earth. Ive been on issulin shots for sooo many years. Finally got on an insulin pump. www.minimed.com. All I can say is that you can adjust your insulin on the fly as to what you are eating at the moment and have total control. When I first went on the pump I would say that I physically felt like a NEW human. What a huge difference. Its a bit getting used too, but once you have it, its great. I also treid going back to needles for a "break" from the pump and WOW what a mistake. Way too much trouble. I see that you take humalog and levemir. I would think the doc could set you up on humalog(thats what I use) and get rid of the levimir. No long acting insulin is needed with a pump. Go to the site and get the free info. It can only benefit you. Oh and one other thing. My HbA1c before the pump was ALWAYS over 12. now im un the 6-8 range. Good luck.
Steve
