It seems to go really deep into the tissue. I had another member write last night that she bought some, too, and it has helped her and her husband. I know it sure helps me a lot. When my hips are killing me, I roll some of this on and the pain decreases.

It's curious because also capsaicin has been found to relieve pain. If I understood correctly it locally exhausts the transmitter that takes the pain "signal" to the brain. Capsaicin is also not water-soluble so don't rub your fingers in it. However, it's probably used in such low concentrations that it does not cause the burning feeling associated with chili.
