Great information, Spookiesmom. Maxxie, I don't know where you live but please check out if your area has these clinics or plans for uninsured. My daughter is too old for our medical insurance but her workplace participates in a medical/health plan associated with a health center/clinic run by a doctor and a team of nurses. Although the clinic is affiliated with a church, the clinic accepts any and all people who are uninsured. Their plan costs $30 a month for those who have jobs (those who don't have jobs are also treated but they don't pay) and has a full list of participating doctors, specialists, dentists, eye doctors, all fields. She picked her doctor and pays $5 for an office visit.
