This is the e-mail I received from my Diabetic Nurse educator almost a week ago, they are a happy bunch at the Heart Institute, one more appointment in October and then I can go back to seeing the Diabetic Doctor on a more routine basis, like a normal Diabetic, the pump is working fine

Good for you, Will!  I hope your A1c comes down to better numbers but I'm glad your heart team is happy with your overall results!

Much improvement Will.  Gah!  Your cholesterol is a bit lower than mine.  Lucky you!  My Endo said my HDL is always very high, so I don't need to worry about my cholesterol.  I always wonder about that.

Nice to see that your A1c is down.  It looks like you and your pump are friends now.  :) I knew you could do it.  Just try to get it in the mid 6's or lower.

Hopefully stress is low key so you can enjoy the sunny days.  It's supposed to be 38 c with the humidity on monday.  Stay cool!!

The impression I got when I mentioned that I wanted to see if I can get my A1C down to between 5 and 6 was they where happy at 7, then they can class me has being controlled.

Will, I encourage you to get Diabetes Solutions by Dr. Richard K. Bernstein.  He's type 1 and a medical doctor.  Our A1c results should not be that high.  Maybe you need to change your eating plan?

Remember Lanie I have only been on the pump for about 6 months, I have been told it takes a while for everything to stabilize

Will, what is your I:C ratio? Would your endo help you tweak that? Do you pay close attention to the amount of carbs, the type of carbs you are shooting for? Have you read Think Like a Pancreas and Pumping Insulin? Both should be on Amazon. Both are a real help for pumpers.

Also sounds like maybe your basal needs a little help. Again, those books could help, or bug your endork.
