Good morning. It's really curious that you have a
very good reading of 81 after a breakfast with oatmeal but your fasting is a little elevated. It could be that the oatmeal draws out the spike because of its fiber even though you also had a few crackers, a shake and blueberries. I would probably say the spaghetti is causing the elevated fasting. You might try not eating any pasta, rice, potatoes or bread at dinner one night and see what your fasting is the next morning. Dinner could be a piece of any protein and a couple of vegetables, salad, etc.
With your other readings being so good, though, the fasting might not be a serious issue. Dawn phenomenon is blamed for high fasting sometimes. This is when glucose gets dumped into your system in the early morning hours as your body is preparing to wake up to take on the day.
