any of you guys taken Gabepentin and did it affect your bg ?

I am taking Gabepentin for nerve pain and wondered if it affects bg

Hi there. I'm not taking this but I found this page on side effects. It's not a main side effect. (This was the only place I saw hyperglycemia. I didn't find this side effect on other sites.)

Hi cvc,

Yes I was on gabapentin and it shot my blood sugar up. I had to stop taking it as my morning fasting bs was 215 while I was on it. Yes it's one of the less common side effects but it was definitely the gabapentin. As soon as i stopped taking it my sugar went back down.

If you Google 'gabapentin blood sugar' there are many many sites that comes up about how it raises bs in some patients.
