I have ulcerative colitis and some members on that forum have suggested bee propolis to help alleviate symptoms. Bee propolis did not affect me, and I later tried bee pollen with no effect.
But bee pollen did lower my fasting glucose level, and lowered it significantly. Most supplements like apple cider vinegar work until they seem less effective. So to make sure I took two tablespoons every night for two weeks and still noticed a consistent lowering of my blood sugar the next morning.
Bee pollen is full of enzymes and micro-nutrients that are still undiscovered much less studied and researched. Apparently there seems to be something there that favorably affects my body chemistry.
