BC 318, I feel sick, what to expect?

Hi to all my friends. I was up early today. Took my BC right away, was 138. I took my meds and had 1 cup of coffee with splenda and later 2 pc of 9 grain bread, 1 cup of skim milk. Now, 2 hours later I feel horrible, shakey and breathless and my BC is 318. How should I expect to feel with it so high? I have not taken very good notes on my food or bc counts. I have NOT been taking my diabetes serious enough. Stupid big time on my part. That has to change. Since I was only diagnosed about 3 months ago and I have had neuropathy in feet and legs for 7-8 years so I have no reason to believe the diabetes caused the neuropathy. I have a very bad back, spinal stenosis. Now, when I need surgery on my neck, with diabetes out of control certainly no surgery of any kind. I am so angry with myself. I know that I could eat better and do more exercise. I will check blood again in 2 hrs. Hi Lanie if you are around, and you too Kathy.....will be back here later....Cathy
