Yes. I've read that also in patients without diabetes. In many cases, they found surgery is better, more effective in the long run and without complications.

On the other hand, my husband had three stents placed over five years ago and is doing great. It just shows that the same thing doesn't work for everyone.

Judy does he have Diabetes too

The story I heard on the radio/tv news yesterday was more in detail than this one, will see if i can find that story was just hoping somebody saw it or heard it yesterday too
