Welcome to Healingwell, roney. I'm not sure about
children's blood sugar levels but I would guess the doctor is looking for the same levels as in adults. Fasting should be under 100. A non-diabetic's fasting would normally be in the 80's.
What does your doctor say about this? Has he given you any guidelines about diet, etc.? Does he want to see your son back in the office for another blood test?
Some factors may be influencing these fasting results. Is there diabetes in your family (parents, grandparents, etc.)? Is your son overweight?
